Prospective Sailors

The GW Sailing Team offers two distinct options for joining - catering to different experience levels and commitment. 

The Competitive Sailing Team is an option for individuals who are interested in pursuing sailing at a higher level, competing regularly in regattas, and traveling most weekends for races. Members of the competitive team are expected to commit to practices, travel schedules, and the demands of competing at the collegiate level. This path requires a higher cost of participation, which helps cover travel, entry fees, and other team expenses. It’s ideal for those who are already experienced sailors or those who are eager to develop their skills and compete against other collegiate teams. Our other program, "Learn to Sail" is designed for individuals who have minimal to no prior sailing experience.
