I grew up sailing at the yacht club near my grandma's house on the Jersey Shore. As I got older, I started competing more and moved from Optis to Lasers and 420s/FJs. Other than racing in the youth sailing circuit at the shore, I also sailed for my high school team. My favorite place that I have had the opportunity to sail at was Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans.
